About the Lake
The Anasagar lake is a man made artificial lake. It was built by Maharaja Anaji during 1135-50 AD to purify Ajmer, which got spiritually spoiled after the war fought here. The lake was filled by damming river Luni. The lake also served the purpose of daily water usage for the locals. Though it gets dried during summers. The lake is a pictureque one. The Mughals later did a lot of constructions around the lake to make it look even better. There are marble and sandstone constructions around the lake. The lake looks stunning from the hilltop nearby.

Baradari
Bardari is the marble pavement around the lake. Shah Jahan ordered the construction of the Baradari (marble pavilion) around the lake. Shah Jahan built the marble pavilion now called the Baradari. Its a unique experience to walk on the banks of lake on the marble Baradari.
Daulat Bagh Gardens
The Daulat Bagh Garden was constructed by emperor Jahangir and is situated on the banks of lake. This green park is a picnic spot and offers a very nice view of the lake and its surroundings.
Khobra BehroonGhats
Situated on the south end of the lake is the Khobra Behroon temple. The temple’s name is derived from the word 'Khobra', which means 'Mischievous'. It is said that newly married couple must visit the temple to live a happy married life.The temple of Khobra Behroon on the south bank of Ana Sagar offers a panoramic view of the lake and Dault Bagh.
