November 1999, for the first time in Rajasthan interested people of the families below poverty line and the people suffering from serious illnesses were benefited by this scheme. Under this scheme the people of the families below poverty line are provided health and medical facilities free of cost in all government hospitals.

Achievements
A total of 23,01,058 selected families were distributed the Medicare Relief Cards. The description of the health facilities provided to the people having cards is listed below in the table.
