The enhanced malaria control project of the Indian government that is being aided by the World Bank selected a population of 49.50 lakhs of 34 block primary health centers of the 10 districts (banswarbaran, bhilwada, bundi, chitorgarh, dungarpur, jhalawad, rajasmand, sirohi, udaipur) have been selected along with jodhpur and bharatpur. According to the directions issued by the Indian government District Malaria Control Organizations have been established in the above 10 districts. In accordance with the project for the effective control of malaria 265 lakhs of rupees have been allocated in March 2002 for the regular purchase of laboratory equipments as micro slides, spirit, pricking needle and expenditure on insecticide spraying team and construction of hatcheries .up to December 2002 , 201.61 lakhs of rupees have been spent. |
